Question Off leash beaches/areas for dogs around Redcliffe

Does anyone know of any off leash beaches and other areas around Redcliffe as the web page for this on Redcliffeshire council site does not appear to work. Also if you know of any other good areas it would be great as I have two dogs who need to socialise.

Hi Gill,

Nice to meet you today, G & J watching superman so had a quick trawl on google.

Came up with following:

This seemed a good one l http://www.petsplayground.com.au/leashfree.htm go to the qld drop down box has redcliffe, caloundra, pine rivers and maroochy and surrounding areas.

Kroll Gardens at Clontarfe in the Redcliffe Peninsular (the only off lead park in Redcliffe) is a huge dog park. It would be a few of hundred metres in length, and it is fully fenced, lots of trees, and a walking track through the middle of it. The dogs have a blast.

Curlew Park in Sandgate, off Rainbow street is also a decent size off lead park. It would be about 150 mtres in length. My greyhound goes there to meet up with some other greys and have a descent run on a weekly basis.

Nudgee Beach is great... as long as you like mud!

Bribie Island see Red Beach http://www.totaltravel.com.au/travel.../bribie-island
Great Fishing and scenic walking tracks. Dogs allowed on leash; dogs off leash from car park to Woody Point.

Hope that helps you chill out in the heat with a nice walk ... .

No bother Gill pleased to help.. we are going to look at a house Sat am but have you in the diary for the afternoon.

Was just wondering to day if you would be interested in meeting up for coffee sometime with me and girl I met who also does Rekie and lives on Bribie Island, she also hasn't been here long and on the look out for new friends. She's sort of my age without dropping myself in it I hope as terrible with age guessing.

Makes us all sound like a right sad bunch... but all in the same boat left all our long time friends in UK so need to start a fresh.
