NZ Passmark This Time Next Year?
Most people seem to think the passmark will come down next year, but by how much?

Re: NZ Passmark This Time Next Year?
I don't think anyone here can answer that. I guess it will start to come
down at the beginning of the year but it will come down slowly. Maybe 1
point every couple of months!!! If you have 25 pts then why are you sitting
on them?? what are you waiting for?? If you are waiting for 27 points (then
you can get any job) my guess would be that maybe by April, but who knows!!!
Sorry i cant be of any more help. I think someone here said they had a
friend at NZIS, maybe she would know more???

The reason I'm "sitting" rather than looking for a job is that I want to work from home (which means getting in without a job offer). We also have a couple of potential points to be judged by NZQA. If one or both of those came good, our chances of meeting the passmark over the next year or two without a job offer would improve quite a bit.

If you have 25 pts,you may apply for a work visa/permit to enable you
to seek employment in New Zealand.

If the passmark remains at current levels long-term, I may have to reconsider, but for the moment I'm prepared to wait.
