Could anyone supply some information on the Investor Visa for NZ

1. We know we have to invest for 3 years, a rate of 6-8% interest has been quoted, is that achievable?

2. 2 million NZ dollars has to be invested?

We have applied and are awaiting news, has anyone any experience of this visa?

1. It's possible if you are prepared to take more risk. There are plenty of investment possibilities (advertised in the NZ press) to get even 9-10% pa - these are not AAA rated investments, however, - they are usually unsecured too. See a NZ based financial advisor for more details. With AAA rated investments you are unlikely to get more than 5% pa.

Thanks for the info, we will check it out. We have now had verbal confirmation that our application has been approved, so we now need to plan our move. We are looking to come out over Easter to check out areas to live, we have 2 boys aged 8 & 5.
