Default NZ Immigration Show in October

Hello all

I'm wanting to do some research into effects of latest policy changes, and wondering if you can help?

I'll also be at the London show for immigration to NZ, and also plan to visit Aussie show a week later, and I'm also wondering if these shows are useful ways for potential migrants to get information.

If you can post replies here, i'll tally them weekly and post the results here for all. :lecture:

My Q are:

First, I'd like to establish the general split between those who prefer Australia to NZ; and within those countries, what percent favour general skills type vs business migration; and then whether or not you'll attend the show(s)

a) Are you more interested in Aus or NZ?
b) For Aus would you be general migrant or business migrant (457?)
c) For NZ would you be general migrant (IGSC or SMC) or business migrant (LTBV)
d) wiull you be attending the Aus or NZ shows in October

Please post short replies using combinations of these answers:
Aus/NZ/Both
biz/gen/Unsure
yes/no

Eg
Aus/gen/No
or
NZ/Biz/Both

Thanks

Default The Show

Hi there

Re: New Zealand Expo.

I'm speaking about LTBv at the Business Migration Seminars, held at the New Zealand Expo, both days from 11am to 12.30pm
When: Saturday 18th October & Sunday 19th October
Time: 10am - 5pm
Address: The Paragon Hotel
Earls Court
London SW5

Perhaps I'll see some of you there? It would be interesting to meet people who've responded to this survey.

As we sometimes say in NZ - spot you later, mate!

Hi Jamie,

I organise the Opportunities New Zealand Expo.

It is a fantastic resourse with NZIS having 2 stands and a whole host of employment and migration consultants.
Contact me at [email protected] if you want any more details.
Thanks

Maori can be amusing to those who have a lazy tongue!

Even our newsreaders get it wrong.

For the dedicated purists, Maori was first written down by missionaries and settlers, until then was strictly handed down by maori using verbal means. The "wh" sound exact nearest (?) sound that the first scribes could apply.

"wh" is only pronounced as "f" by lazy speakers of maori.

With "wh" sound the top teeth never meet the bottom lip (as they do with "f") Try saying "f" without teeth and lip meeting and you'll be getting closer.

if my memory serves me, at primary school (35 years ago!) they said the mouth should be a little more pursed and the "wh" is then more of a short blowing sound, more like a short "fw"

Takes the fun out of it I know, but getting it right is quite impressive and it will make you a more authentic kiwi ;-0
