They have listings from lots of agents and if you have a particular area in mind, you can link to a local agent through them - pick a property, and towards the bottom of the page it offers you "look at all this agent's properties"

You'll find that (I'm presuming you're still in the UK?) these web pages don't give you that much of an idea of rental properties. Not many rentals seem to feature on them. However once in NZ every real estate shop has a list of properties up for rent and believe me there's plenty!

I couldn't help noticing your plight .... :(

The best place to look for rentals in NZ is the NZ Herald website, www.nzherald.co.nz - go to the Property link (on the left hand column) and you can then place in your search parameters.

open2view.co.nz and realnz.co.nz are usually advertising houses for sale, rather than rentals. www.nzherald.co.nz is better for rental as it basically is an online version of NZ's leading national newspaper. If anyone is thinking of buying - by all means go to the NZ Herald website as well, as it lists a larger range of properties - open2view and realenz only lists those with agents, and even then not all of them.

Another method is to find a realty site where you like the look of the properties for sale and email the contact with your rental query. I had a very helpful response.
