Default Nurse specialist roles

I hope you don’t mind me posting this here. I originally posted it on the nurses forum but I’ve not received any replies...
We have been given an incredible opportunity, my husband has been offered a transfer from the UK military to the Australian military. They will pay for visas, shipping etc so there is not much risk to us financially.
However, I am a very experienced (17 yrs registered), degree level registered nurse working in a specialist area and I am keen to know if I could do a similar job in Australia as my job is very important to me.
I work with newly diagnosed cancer patients, providing them with expert knowledge, support and advice throughout their various treatments. I also coordinate their cancer care, I.e arranging scans etc. Is this a common role in Australia? We would probably be settling around Nowra, so not near one of the big cities.
Many thanks in advance for your advice.

First thing you will need to do is look at the AHPRA website, they are responsible for registration of nurses and without that registration you can't work. You can start the registration process before moving, but once they grant it in principle you only have 3 months to physically present yourself at their offices here.

Hi, thank you for your reply. I’ve done a lot of research, so I know all about the registration process.
However, I don’t want to waste my time and money if there aren’t the roles I’d like over there.
