Default Nuring In Perth

Hi All

Do you by any chance know what the different levels of nursing are i.e RN1 does this mean a nurse with one year experience. If so will my 7 years of nursing count or will i have to start from the beginning??

Hi,

yes basically in Australia the nursing system is a wee bit different from the one in blighty. They regognise years of service when it comes to deciding pay. So for example year one nusrse would be 1.1 year seven nurse would be 1.7 on the payscale. if you can with those years of expereince why not try to get a RN level 2 job much better pay but the jobs can be few and far between.

Hope this helps

Justin

Hi my names Andy and i'm hopefully moving with my wife to Perth naxt year nursing. Recently went Expo at Oz House in London. I've been qualified six years and will go on the pay scale at level six. There are a maximum of nine pay scales then above that you go into management. I'm not sure what you'd be on at level seven but at level six i'd be on just over 50,000 dollars a year plus unsocial hours. If you want any more info send me a PM and i will dig out all forms I got from Oz House. Friend of mine went nursing in Melbourne and she fetches home around 1600 dollars a fortnight, which she say's she can quite comfortably live on.

Hi Andy

Would really appreciate any documentation you could send...do you need an email or house address. ?

Thanks
