Nuclear Power
Is nuclear power inevitable in Australia, I read on SMH that proposed sites will be in Holsworthy, Goulburn or Lucas Heights!

Re: Nuclear Power
Since Australia has quite a large proportion of the planet's uranium ore it seems anti-commonsense not even to discuss using it ourselves.
If we keep breeding the way we are now the population is going to stabilise at some 10-12Bn (depending which forecast you take) at which point natural and conflict "culling" will put a lid on it. But at what overall standard of living....
Malthus was of course absolutely right - even if his timing wasn't.
So nuclear has to be an option.
