Default November Gold coast

We are arriving on the Gold coast in mid november and are planning to stay in a holiday rental for a few weeks until we get a family house to rent.
any recommendations for holiday rentals on a quiter part of the coast??
Also i know that loads of oz students go to surfers in november , anyone know which week it is this year? proberly best avoided

I reckon surfers is best avoided at all times!!!!

my college/work is based mainly in coomera, so arriving in early november, shipment arrives early december , in that time we have to find a good rental with nr a good primary school.
should be a fun month
is burliegh clear of schoolies week 23-30 nov?
is schoolies based at surfers?

Yes Schoolies is concentrated around Surfers.....but I'd imagine there will still be a fair contingent of em at Burleigh....its a pretty popular beach.

If you need access to Coomera then maybe you could find a rental somewhere north of Southport - should be clear of schoolies & probably a bit cheaper as well.
