Not for the Squirmy
Having said many times that snakes here really dont bother me, I will have to tell you of this mornings events.
My teenager drives around end of cul-de-sac and sees 8ft long snake. Runs up to get me to have a look and as we race down road, the delightful black and yellow thing decides to start wrapping itself around the pipes rods whatever hangs under the car. Having had the annoying dilema of snake wrapped up under car before, and knowing carpet snakes are fairly harmless we grab husband who decides to gently pull the thing by tail to get it out. Unfortunately it is now tightly twined a dozen or so times round bottom of car and reluctant to move. Daughter need to to get to job at shopping centre and we cant really allow her to drive off and release 8ft crawly thing into Mc Donalds. After one hour of hosing tappping pulling and generally feeling useless, i decide to have a prod at the snake myself with a fairly blunt copstick and sure enough jab with chopstick up rear end gets our friend moving. Down it comes and decides to slither up neighbours front path. Fearing giving neighbour a heart attack , we shoo the snake all the way to bushland at the end of the street by rounding it up with a broom and mop. Later three neighbours tell us they would have like to help but couldn,t believe the size of the thing! In fairness to the snake it didnt try to hurt us at all, just hissed once. No doubt if it had been a angerous snake we would have had to cordon off the street and call Steve! Snake season had begun.....

Nice one! That was the most entertaining post I have ever read I think.
Thankfully from a level headed person as well.
