North Shore Immigration
Anyone out there familiar about North Shore Immigration Services (NSIS) @ NZ?
My NZ PR application was lapsed due to the infamous retrospective changes recently even if I succesfully met the passmark required at the time lodged last year.
My agent just had this partnership with NSIS and am looking forward that my lapsed application will still be saved since I have up to December '03 to find a Job Offer.
Thanx!

Dont bother...
I used a local agent when I lodged my application last year. When it was lapsed september of this year, my agent suggested to their clients that we acquire the service of NSIS believing that it can help us.
Anyway, Ive already emailed NSIS and what help, got no reply at all.
Im kinda scouting for an agent, since I have limited time, before I arrive as a visitor in NZ. My plan is to get a Job Offer (since my occupation is in the OSL) then apply for a work permit before my visitor' visa expires.

Re: Dont bother...
I know the agent well, and she had mentioned that she had recently got dozens of enquiries from people who could not be helped, and had little choice about how to deal with them
But try another tack and avoid coming out of the blue so to speak.
Mention that you'd been in these newsgroups and had been talking to me prior to visiting NZ, and that you were after a consultation when you got here.
You should get the first consultation for free when here in NZ, and that will help you show NSIS that you're genuine in your intentions to persist, and take it from there.
Cheers

Thanks!
Thanks for the advise...as always Jamie.
Eventhough I'm not a "British Expat", youve always been (and the only one) very accomodating to all those who have sensible queries re NZ. Questions that cannot be found in the NZIS website.
Am looking forward to ariving in Auckland this Jan '04.
Cheers!
