Hi

Just looking at areas around Brisbane and have come accross North Lakes a few times.

Any info on living in North Lakes for families, schools, housing etc would be great!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously, it seems to be a place you love or you loathe. Have you done a sesarch while waiting for the locals? Bucket loads of info on here about the place

It is known as Little Britain and has a huge shopping center and is a very large estate so if u like that sort of thing yuoll be ok

We have lots of brits living in the area.

It's a great place to live.

Schools good - private and public
Familes great - lots of walkways cyclepaths etc
Housing - pretty pricy but depends on what ya want

We've been here for the last 2 years and are almost finished building here at North Lakes, we have no intention of moving (yet!)

North Lakes is very nice, very clean, very friendly and does have a good few Brits living on the estate. But for most its the feel that its a safe step to live their as it has a familiar feel about it (a comfort zone). Where as a old Queenslander on acreidge out bush seems daunting, but once living here for a few years that option sounds good . Loads of kids playing out on safe streets. And with the bussiness park being built and shopping area still growing its a good place to invest.

We have just applied for a rental today, not far from the school. The place looks good so far. Have chosen it over some other places but only time will tell if it is the right place to go. The good part about it in my eyes is its near to the coast so can go for a walk on the sea front on a night. Plus it will be somewhere to launch the Jet Ski when i get it
