Yep all are welcome.......within reason, I think.

How many of you are there?

We are in dakabin (and frequent Norths in Kallangur), we are weighing up whther to bring the rug rats 2 and 4 - they are not socialised very well!

I am assuming the Belvdere hotel at Woody Point, start at 2pm (am I wrong?), if we get a sitter we may only have a window of 2pm till 4pm......

If I am wrong well please correct me, hey I do suffer from gross stupidity sometimes...well alot of the time actually.

Correct the Belverdere meet at 1pm to 2pm on the 28th of July and goes on till people decide to go which in the past has been quite late, so come for a little or a lot what ever you can manage. We do go other places but have found Belverdere good for kids.

Haven't managed Norths (it's on list of places to try but haven't convinced the husband to go accross the threashold, he has bad memories of UK working mens clubs (and hates Pokies)) but we do go to Finnigans Chin at times but not so friendly for kids.

Yes North's is the leagues club...ok if you like pokies, cheap eats and snooker tables (2).

Its not that great for kids but a kids bit was on the cards.
Other great thing is they pick you up if you want by bus and drop you off (on a timetable).

We usually drop the 2nd car off there and leave it all night and get the bus back.

One bus trip equals the $5 fee for the year, a taxi to our place is $10...

Yes we have a 2 year old devil child as well so we are well aware of the problems you are experiencing...drinking eases the stress!

You have been on about the North Leagues club on the past couple of threads but are you aware that this meet is at the Belvedere pub at Woody point , kick off is between 1pm & 2pm until you drop.

Where abouts in Essex are you from ? We lived near Colchester before coming here.

So, knowing what your kids are like may I suggest that 'pulling out' is the only way your sitter can avoid having kids?

Sorry, couldn't resist!

Hi,

Is this meet open to newbies?? We r up near Bribie Island and would love to meet up and have a chat to other brits (bring on the beers too!)

Our lots consists of:

Grandparents (very young at heart and not into bowling/pokies/retirement villages in the slightest!)
and mum and 1 year old

Can you confirm time, dates and meeting places....

Any others on or near the island, or anybody know of any meets that way?

Thanks
Sam, Morgan, Ray and Lestrene
