Dont know for Perth. In Vic it's 15.

If she leaves school, she mayn't be considered a dependent so therefore may need to get a different visa in her own right. Just a little heads up - look into it.

They did not ask for proof - I asked why not. Replied that given the length of time I had been driving, and my age that it was highly likely that I had the years I claimed to have.

Also had to make a claim (other driver admitted fault for driving into back of me) and claim was made over phone, no paperwork and not needed to send any no claims proof off (with suncorp btw).

There was one insurance company (can't remember name) that did not recognise the driving time in the UK, and saw me a new driver as I had had the NSW licence for a few days and wanted to charge a large premium with a hefty excess.
