Default no claims

Hi all

my cousin in oz suggested taking proof of no claims discount on car insurance, because when she moved there 17 years ago she lost her no claims.

Cheers

I bought my first car last year and the NRMA gave me a 50% no claims. No idea why. I am now on the full 60% no claims.

I have made one claim through them. Someone went into the back of me. I went to a recommended garage. They took pictures of the damage and loaded them to the NRMA web site. I did not even have to fill out a form.

We got full no claims, but they did asked to see the evidence. good job we asked our UK insurers for it. they basically need your renewal notice as that has it on.

Bring it with you, we insured with SGIO and they did not ask for it, gave NCB on years of safe driving age etc, I ended up with 65% instead of the one year I had in UK. !!!

Just in the process of getting all of ours. Also, lynn j had a great idea to anyone who is going to be renting out there, to get references from land lords or estate agents to say that your house was left in good order, and that you always paid up on time etc.
I am also posting mine over to my cousin as we are travelling for a bit and don't want to loose them.
