Default Nightlife for 18's to 21's

Hi we are looking to move over to Perth in June 06 .. Our 21 year old son is following in Aug was just wondering what kind of social/nightlife is there for him .......... Have heard that Perth is way to quiet for these ages is that correct . Hoping he will settle here but if to quiet he may want to move back .

We were in Perth in December and went out at the weekends to Northbridge, was really busy and lively (but then I am a bit of a country bumpkin ). The further away from the City you go, the quieter it will be. Is your son into sports as I think if you get really involved in the outdoor activities you get a ready made social life (either that or you're too exhausted to go out at nights ). I hope your son settles with you and enjoys his time in Perth.

Did you see the picture of "Hostess Karen" on that link to Scarborough?? Very nice.

The pictures don't show everyone fighting and throwing bottles, or rioting against the police which happens there.

Must have been a bit on the chilly side that night, she nearly took my eye out!
At least you know there's somewhere to hang your coat though!

We live south of the river near Mandurah there are several pubs & clubs in Mandurah which my teens go to. For the big night out they either go up to Fremantle or to the city Northbridge.

Young people here seem to do much more socialising around sport clubs with the pub being a satruday night thing. My kids have been known to go to Fremantle & sit & have coffee!

The social life here is completely different from the UK for teenagers & early 20's but I think people get used to it & enjoy it once they appreciate the differences.
