Nice waste of a week.
Just to show poo happens here too with house selling.
Contact prepared, fly back from Melbourne.
Contract does not appear.
Agent appears stumped.
Week passes.
Agent brings contract.
Price is not what agent claimed it would be.
Decline Contract.
2 days pass.
Agent has new client.
Client makes offer.
Agent makes mistake on contract.
Re draw contract.
Contract goes back and forth 4 times for price
Price agreed.
Client signs contact.
Day passes.
Client bursts into tears.
Agent asks us to tear up contact and do a new one for $14,000 less as the lady is a Single Parent!!!! and is in tears.
We appear stumped
Single parent apologises and says she is an emotional wreck.
Agent asks if we can get a wall (thats holding up the house) knocked out then she will still buy it.
I tell agent to drown the woman.
House is back on market
Oh and I now retract all I said about OZ house buying/selling being easier

I have found that no matter where I choose to live on this planet, the fruitcake factor remains a reassuring constant.

This is why we are renting untill we are truly settled somewhere!!(never probably! )
It may be throwing money away, but is soooo easy for the time being!!

We are having some problems with our buyers also. The sale has been going through since 18 November and the contracts are not even signed yet. The purchasers solicitors have now come back with a huge list of another lots of questions. God knows what they want as the house is only five years old. We are now paying the mortgage for an empty house and I feel like telling them to P*** off!
I am losing my patience now with them

Dotty, you are a softie at heart. Still, tough to sue the woman, would probably have got you nowhere fast.
