Hi All

We are recent arrivals (28/09) to the South of Perth (Rockingham South), originally from Christchurch in Dorset.

We've got 2 boys 17 and 19 who enjoy going to the gym and socialising.

Wondered if there were any other recent arrivals.

Loving our new house and the Perth weather, only thing missing is all our friends! so hoping to make some new ones!

Hi there

Welcome! ISTR there is someone else on this forum from your area (near Bournemouth/Poole area), can't recall exactly who it is, or where they went, but maybe other posters can help?

See if you can get to one of the local Expats meets, as you'll meet some nice people there, too.

There is an active Perth 'Ladies nights out' group - if Angela searches the forum she should be able to find details easily.

BTW, if you find anywhere in Perth selling Dorset-style scrumpy cider, let me know - I miss it & will be in the next plane over to get some!

Welcome to Australia we are in Mandurah about 20 minutes from you, been here a bit longer than you though We have 2 girls 18 and 16 and a boy 10. You just missed an expat meet up in kings park, mind you so did I working thats my trouble I work to much, must take the time to meet new people,mind you been saying that for the past 6 years as well

There are plenty of people who have just arrived or who are just about to arrive in the Perth area (although not me, sadly). Look for anything by Simone, Go Bananas, Siren, Lathlain, S.Oldfield, Vegemite Kids, Kala...to name but a few!
