newbie saying hello (plus quick question)

Hi Folks,
I'm just starting out on this little adventure and have been reading all the posts in this forum.
I'm not sure if I now feel more or less daunted, but certainly better informed.

Just to introduce myself, I'm 23 and living in London. Most of my family live in Australia, the majority in or around Perth. I've spent quite a bit of time over there and have used up all my visas so I'm trying for PR.
All my family are willing to sponsor me but I reckon my best bet is to use my Aunt who lives in a designated area (200kms north of Perth) so....

If I apply through the 'skilled - designated area sponsor' route, what restrictions are placed on me if I were successful. Presumably I have to live/work in the 'designated area'? If so, for how long? And how do the authoritys keep tabs on you?

Thanks in advance. The first of many question I'm sure!

Hi Pete,

Whilst the authorities would prefer that you stay to work in the designated area, there are no restrictions once you have your PR.

Hope that helps.
