We are new to the area and wondered is there a good place to be to bring in the New Year when you have youngish kids in tow?

There are a few fireworks displays listed on the Gold Coast Council website - most of them have family activities which start in the afternoon...

Paradise Point Foreshore Park
Family celebration with entertainment from 5.00 pm.

Dreamworld Parkway between the Boathouse Tavern and Mobil Service Station
4.30 pm start. Family celebration and fully licenced food festival. Dreamworld characters, from 5.00 pm to 6.00 pm, face painting clowns and amusements. Live band from 7.30 pm to 12.30 am.
