New to Perth missing good UK friends
We arrived in April and hope to find other families to socialise and share outings. We enjoy active/outdoors stuff, picnics in the park and a splash of vino! Anything from kicking a ball in the park to beach/water sports is our sort of thing. A little uneasy about finding friends this way but nothing ventured............... anyone fancy a coffee?

Hi, we're not far from you but I'm a bit older than 28, as is my missus, and we have 3 young kids (oldest nearly 6). We are the stage of kicking a ball to a 4 and 5 year old in the park etc on the weekends and if you're not there yet then we might bore the pants of you. We do like a laugh/joke/beer/chat and I'm sure we'd get on but as I say.......... if the family thing doesn't put you off then maybe a coffee one weekend morning somewhere-we're only up the hill from you anyway? Cheers and thanks for replying.

Hi leannelo,
A beer/coffee would be good. We're tied up for 3-4 days but will get back to you shortly. Will send a PM when enough posts sent.
Thanks for replying.

Re: New to Perth missing good UK friends
Hi all,
So...we have just made it to Perth. We are currently in Connolly, but soon the move to Woodvale.
We are 43,45 with two girls 15 & 12, with an 18 year old coming over in a few weeks time. We have been here two weeks now, and starting to understand how things work, we have filled in millions of forms and understand the streets a little in this area. We are now looking to bore the pants off someone with all the new pom diatribe, and would like to get to know some new people.
We like (not in order of preference):
Wine/Beer
A Good chat
Coffee/Tea
A Chinwag
Walking/Running
Discussing the days events
going out - anywhere, we like most things
(we went paragliding a few weeks before we got to perth, so we are up for scaring the begeebers out of ourselves).
Anyway - lifes to short, reply or PM us. Our schedules pretty open right now but its filling up slowly.
--today was slightly sad, but mostly we are happy--

Hi and welcome to Perth!!!
We are trying to organise a bbq in quinns beach next sunday if you are up for it, 22nd August, about 1pm, its alittle north from where you are but a lovely area for a bbq, just bring some food and drinks, there is a resturant there if you prefer, there will be about four families there hopefully, come along and join in the fun, we are all the same boat as yourselves, we havent been here that long, so we are all in need of a little chat and fun.
See you there.
