Default New migrant-Tips to get job/settle early ???

Hi..Recently I got 175 PR visa for Australia (Mechanical engineer 2126-11).
I am planning to move to Australia as soon as possible..........

So, you guys, have any tips to get any job quickly..
------ I mean any specialty in cover letter / cv writing..??
------ Is there any possibility to get job if I apply before moving ??
------ Or anything (training/diploma/masters) to do to get a quick job ??
------ Or any state, where there are more chances of getting a job ??

Any bullet tips ??

Please share............

I got my first job in Australia from a cold call email campaign that I did from the UK. I basically researched a load of companies that were in my line of work and sent a cover letter and resume to them.
