Default New Life wanted

Hi everyone

We are a family of 6 and really want to start a new life in Australia.....But where to start!!!!

My husband is self employed and works from home on websites. He has had his own internet business for almost 12 months now.

Can anyone tell us what we need to do to get the ball rolling please and how long can it take for everything to go through before we know if we can have a new life in Oz?

Here's hoping!!!!

Go to the immigration website and have a look at their visa wizzard as it will tell you if you are eligible for any visas.

Good luck.

Does he have any formal qualifications?

www.immi.gov.au has a visa wizard where you can see whether you may qualify for a via
and how long can it take for everything to go through before we know if we can have a new life in Oz?
Anywhere from a few weeks for an employer sponsored visa to up to 4 years for a non-CSL skilled visa. Sorry, but without knowing what visa you might be applying for it's just not possible to narrow it down any more than that.

Here's hoping!!!!

just to give you a rough idea visa wise it can take a couple of years depending on the situations to get qualifications assessed, medicals etc

just be sure of your reasons, a new life is possible but it might not be a better one, somethings are better here in aus some are worse

Why Australia,

Look closer to home first, Australia is a long long way away should you not like it ? Trust me it will cost you a fortune to return.

What about the South of France or Spain , then you can still access the rest of Europe and the UK quite easily.

Yes you may have to learn another laguage but hey thats another string to your bow.

Also much easier to migrate there as you are allready European.

They are over selling Australia at present , it could be a disapointment to you.

Sorry just feel you need an experienced alternate view.

Cheers

Maybe they are interested in moving to Australia for the same reasons you were. One persons negative experience does not mean it will be the same for everyone.
