Default New Life & STay at Home husbands.

http://www.news.com.au/story/0,10117...-28698,00.html
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
STOP dreaming about a stay-at-home husband, girls - it will add two hours a week to your housework duties.
Women are doing 70 per cent of the housework and new research shows they still do more than their husband, even if he opts to stay at home and care for the children and she works full-time.

While unemployed men do more housework than blokes who work (10.6 hours a week), their wives do even more (16 hours a week).

And it's worse for those women who have a stay-at-home husband.

Women employed full-time with a stay-at-home husband do 16 hours housework a week, two hours more than a full-time working mum whose husband works full-time.

The shocking statistics are in a discussion paper to be launched by Sex Discrimination Commissioner Pru Goward today, which shows working mothers get no leisure time.

While stay-at-home mums average just 24 minutes leisure time a day, their husbands get an hour and 12 minutes.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

I just dont know where these people do their research, shysters they are. Clearly this is wrong, stay-at-home dad's & hubbies make a full contribution to the housework in all cases.

If blokes didnt walk around messing the place up and leaving empty pringle tins everywhere (or handily stuffing them down the back of hte sofa for later cleaning up) then the wimmin would feel their role was diminished, can't have that.

I must be very blessed with a new age househusband then - he's doing all the housework except ironing. I'm doing, errrr, about 0-2 hours a week at the moment. Now if only he could have babies, we would be sorted...

I should start ironing more slowly, I mean even more slowly than I do already, so that I can demand $10 per hour for, hmmm... 5 hours of ironing per week in front of the TV, in stead of 0-2 hours in the ironing room... I might even iron his boxers and sweatpants and fleeces if I can get paid for doing it!

I cook most days, and I mean cook from raw ingredients, not microwave meals. And 90% of the time its edible

(the dog gets it the other 10% )

It is a typical bloke ploy to do something 'happily' , even offer to do things, and only do them half-arsed such that complaints that follow ensure you are never entrusted with said task again.... Mrs Sp worked it out after only 4 yrs of married life , others survive longer.
