new to the gold coast
I have just arrived in Oz after living in France for last & a half years. I have come here ahead of my wife and two girls to find schools / work etc. I was wondering if there was any one out there who would like to meet up or share there experience etc on settling here etc

Hello there, just bumping this up for you. You might want to get it moved to the Meet-Ups section - plenty of people on this forum are on the GC and seem to meet up regularly

I've moved you to the Meet Ups. There are a fair few around the GC who may only check this forum. Have a look around, there is a regular drinks meet that floats around Surfers, Hope Island etc as well as a few others. A few drunks like to play golf as well, so even if you don't play, as long as you drink you'll be very welcome 
Oh and there's a regular curry night you may be interested.

I am not a big drinker so that may count me out. However i am far from boring.
