New Dorset & Hampshire meet up in Bournemouth 30 th March
New Dorset & Hampshire meet up Sunday 30th March at the Brewers Fayre pub 'The Neptune'.
It is located right on the Bournemouth seafront esplanade next to Boscombe Pier.
This is the web link for the location.
http://www.brewersfayre.co.uk/Locati...83&source=name
They reckon it is the last pub in Bournemouth with an indoor play area, and it would be an ideal location for a BE meet-up. There is also ample car parking either next to the pub or you can park directly on the seafront.
It has a great free indoor play area with activities for kids ranging from ages 3 years upwards. This play area is unsupervised by Brewers Fayre staff but they are willing to reserve as many tables as required for a meet up, with seating/tables for about 20 with a view directly into the play area. They are also able to provide extra seating if we can confirm no's before.
The beach is only 5 metres away from the pub if bigger kids and adults require more space (providing the beach dredging works haven't started). There is some close local building work nearby but this should not put anyone off.
Anyone interested in coming along please add you name to the meet up calender, and how many adults/kids as we will need to know how many tables to reserve.
To add your details to the meet up go to the meet up header at the top of the page, and select the date 30th March and follow the instructions, or click the link below.

Definately raise a glass to them. This time we have to pretend to ignore ozzyfever as they now have their visa's.

Re: New Dorset & Hampshire meet up in Bournemouth 30 th March
I have had a phone call today from The Neptune, the venue for the meet up on Sunday 30th March saying that the indoor play area may not be available at this time for Health & Safety reasons as it will be unsupervised. This still has to be confirmed but the meet up is only 2 weeks away.
Can anyone else suggest another location, anywhere? Travelling for us is not a problem if we have to change venues.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
i have found a venue that looks good has a play barn which is free
CHILDREN'S PLAYBARN
(Indoor Play Building - for children up to 4ft 9ins tall)
OPENING TIMES Daily 12noon - 9pm.
CHILDREN'S PARTIES Monday - Friday all day. Saturday & Sunday 10am - 12mn.
Ring for full details & prices.
CHARGES Playbarn is free of charge. However we ask you supervise your children.
The Magic Roundabout, formerly known as The Folly, is in a picturesque setting. We cater for all ages, have a huge beer garden and play area. We also have disabled access and a disabled toilet. Like all Hungry Horse pubs we aim to provide the best value food in the area. Our meals, to cater for all the family, can be chosen from an extensive menu and enjoyed in our new very contemporary setting. The pub has a good selection of drinks to complement your meal and offers a quality pint of beer or real ale for a relaxing drink with friends. We are only 5 minutes from Andover town centre and located on a traffic island. The team at the Magic Roundabout look forward to welcoming you soon
its a hungry horse place but looks like it could cater to our needs.

Re: New Dorset & Hampshire meet up in Bournemouth 30 th March
I have been into The Neptune today and the indoor play area is not available for the near future as it needs a safety refurbishment. There is no timeframe for this to be completed, hopefully by the summer.
This will be an ideal meet-up venue when the play area is available.
I suggest that the meet-up be moved to either another venue, not likely now due to short time frame, and/or moved to another date.

Have a good holiday, where are you off to?

Re: New Dorset & Hampshire meet up in Bournemouth 30 th March
Somewhere in Spain. Can't pronounce it. It's not a holiday destination really.
With regards to your question on locations in the other thread, I'm not familiar with many places, Brewers Fayre's used to have play areas for children, but they seem to all be closing down around here. Unfortunately, pubs don't seem to be kid-friendly nowadays!!
