Armed Police - arrest made in Whitehall

Re: New Attacks on Underground
I think there has been a backlash already, the press have gone to town on the Islamic teaching & the way preachers are getting these benefits , claiming from government, claiming political refugee status & churning out this against the christanity & government, claiming Jihad & soforth.
This leads to an under lying sense of mistrust which will affect peoples teaching to their younger children. Islam will be placed in with this bombing from the sounds of it will be on going. Can see people having a laugh & doing this sort of thing. There are armed police everywhere in the london transport so they should be expecting to be shot dead. |
Re: New Attacks on Underground
Sat in my office in west London and have been told to stay put. Nobody is raising too much of an eyelid to what's just happened. It's quite strange really. In our office there are people of every different religions, skin colours, backgrounds etc. Nobody is talking of Islamic extremists being the culprits. Lets just see what happens. Whatever thier religion or origin they are just sick.

John Howard on TV now with Tony Blair, explaining how strong the relationship is, also how we fight side by side in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Some might say thats an invite for Terrorists to attack Australia. |

Please please please, don't judge everyone with the same brush. The UK needs to kick out ALL forms of extremism, if someone doesnt agree with our country or its policies, they should leave. We need to stop funding them, supporting them and tolerating them. Extremism and racism comes in many forms. Combat 18, National Front, BNP, IRA, Islam to name a few. Hatred to all people helps noone and will end in a 'tit for tat' situation. We are better than that and know better than that to do that. Please everyone travelling in London, take care and get home safely tonight. Dad, if you're reading this, I cant get hold of you and need to know your safe. Sam I was just reflecting on the sheer irony of these attacks: without exception, the people I know who were either involved, or had their day traumatised and disrupted by the last attack, had all been anti the Iraq war, and joined the big anti-war march we had in London in Feb 2003 (along with about 2 million other Brits). The list of victims includes many who may well be moslems, too. Anya. |

The Spanish just have a different way of showing defiance.
