Hi
wondering if anyone can help me with this, I am 39 and my husband is 44, 45 in March. We are seriously thinking of emmigrating to Oz, my dilmema is this. When would we get 0 points for my husband, is it on his 45 birthday or is it up until he turns 46 (hope this is making sense). My next query is, we apply for a visa it takes however long and we havent sold our house in England, can you defer your visa until you have sold your house in England
Please can anyone help, im going dizzy :scared:

45's the cut-off - so it'd be the day he turns 45. I believe that as long as you get the visa app in before he turns 45 - you're cool - so don't hang about!! Oh and welcome to the forum.

I'd second this but in answer to your other question. You have to validate your visa within a period after being offered it. I think this is a year after the earliest of your medicals and police checks but may be only a few months after you are actually granted your visa. Perhaps someone else could confirm.

If you can afford one see an agent as to put your application through quicly you'll need dedication and skill and with the best will in the world the experienced applicants on this forum won't be able to guide you through the complexity of getting skills assessments and visas so quickly especially given the age criteria.

Good luck.
