There's no substitute for real life information of your chosen location in Australia, so I'm not pretending that's what this is.
However, if you take a look at this Wikipedia link you may find something of value. Some places have only a paragraph or two, others have a whole heap of info, links, piccies and so forth.

Just what I needed with regards to finding schools - - -geography has never been my strong point and I couldn't work out(blonde you know)which was N,S,E or W from my map - -it's on its side you know!!!!!
