Have got 2 weeks off work and would love to go to Perth for a few days with the rest of the family, money is tight so has anyone any ideas as to the cheapest place to stay which will accomodate 5 of us - 2 adults, 3 kids.

If money's tight you may want to think of something closer to home. Flights from anywhere to Perth are expensive and long. 5 hours to Sydney and $1000 for return flights for 2 of us. If there are 5 of you then you can add another $1500 to that. Then you have accom to pay for and the cost of seeing/doing anything. Besides, it's winter here which means cold and wet.

As for cheap accommodation in Perth area? Try the link The Bloke gave. It's a great site and where we found a place to stay.
