Need help from a Solicitor

Dear Ex Pat family,
I have today resigned from my voluntary job after 4 yrs.
I wonder if there is a Solicitor out there that would take a look at the resegnation letter I gave in, as a certain someone is saying it is slanderous. I think not, it is my personal opinion, but I have a tiny niggle inside and just need a bit of help.

this is a nice easy to read definition and the articles attached to it (click onthe left side) will explain it fairly easily. It is south-australia law but as a concept it explains it well.

because its written rather than said, then its libel not slander http://www.lawhandbook.sa.gov.au/ch14s02.php

If the letter was about the person you wrote it to - its not defamatory, ie it was only about the person you wrote it to, and you only gave it to them.

But in any case - who cares. They're not going to sue you that would be folly unless you said they murdered someone in which case good luck.

I wouldnt worry about it. Put it to back of your mind and move on.

Btw - dont post the letter on here, ! then it would be worse :-)

Thank you for that quick reply. The letter was addressed to the Treasurer of the Society and I gave my opinion of a cetain other member as I saw it. It was purely my opinion, and i used words such as disruptive behaviour, bullying and disreguard.
Im pretty sure they are just angry so I will take your advise and try to ignore my feelings!!!

Hi Cookster
By all means PM me with the letter.
