Hi there

Nothing to fear. When the meds are 'referred' it just means that the LCU have sent the papers to Health Services Australia. They are a group of doctors employed by the Government, and one of their duties is to be the Medical Officer ot the Commonwealth in relation both to immigration issues for would-be migrants to Oz, in adition to assessing State Benefits sickness/disability entitlements for people already living in Australia.

One of the doctors at HSA will look at the papers for whoever's medical it is. If he wants more information (eg specialist tests or reports) he will request these via the LCU. If he considers that there is no problem and no need for further investigation, that will be that. The LCU tracker will eventually confirm "finalised" or "processed." HSA are very busy, so it might be a while before a doctor has a chance to check the papers sent to HSA.

See what the tracker says in a week's time, I suggest, and in the meanwhile, try not to worry too much. Have a drink, to help you to relax, I suggest.

Best wishes

Gnut

Hi Seven

On the evisa progress, our meds were received on 22/6 with myself and the boys being finalised on the same day. Hubbies was recorded as referred on 22/6 but it now says Health requirements finalised but all the ones listed below are still referred.

Knut cracker has been great with support and kept my stress levels down but it is a very worrying tme, especially when no-one at LCU is available to answer questions you have. Let me know how you get on and I will do the same.
