General Electrician or specialist?

I'm a Spark too, from what i've seen, certain places have sparky jobs in different fields, A mate of mine started out as a general spark in SA and ended up working at the mines further inland. I did my apprenticeship in electrical installation but now i'm working more as an electrical engineer, but obviously to us, electric is electric and we can do either or either.
