Hi,

My name's Kurt and I work as an records officer at a firm in Bombay.

I have just got my vetassess assessment as a records mgr and have filed my papers for immigration. However I've now been offered a job at a bank wherein my job would deal with customer service.

Wanted to know if me taking up this offer would affect my current application.

I've worked as a records officer for the last 4 yrs.

What should I do????

I believe that any occupation changes after your application is filed are irrelevant, as they assess you on your work history up to the point of application.
I would advise you to check with a migration expert, though!

Hi Clare,

Thank you very much for u're help. Had spoken to a couple of people and they had told me the same thing.

However spoke to a friend of mine who's already in Oz and he says that they sometimes check on u're work history when you initially lodge u're application as well as about 6 months down the line when they actually take a decision.

So am still a bit confused. Any ideas.
