We are spending 6 days in Brisbane in the middle of April and we looking for some affordable rental/motel accom.

Does anyone have any advice of places or know anyone who lets out rooms or property for a family of 4?

Cheers

we stayed in paramount motel at kangaroo point, it was walking distance from the ferry cat, had a small shop next door and was opposite a small pub. not sure what family accommodation they have, there was just the two of us. we had a large room with a kitchenette and bathrom with shower. i cant remember a safe they may have facilities in the reception. they had a large carpark and a small swimming pool. the rooms had foxtel.
have a look on the website, maybe trip advisor has some reviews.
hope this helps

Also ex-Hull folk. We stayed at Brisbane Holiday Village, Eight Mile Plain last April when we came on our reccie. Great for the kids as pool, tennis, crazy golf etc and about 50 mins from Gold Coast. Could walk to the nearest shopping centre too for provisions, if need be. We took the bus into the CBD as there is a park & ride near there too. Staff extremely helpful, accommodation very modern and clean and we didn't think it too expensive - we got it through Wotif.com
