Question Nearly 8 hrs to waste in Dubai, any ideas???

Hi Folks,

We're off on our look around Melbourne 10 day marathon on Monday night!

We fly out with Emirates from Manchester to Dubai, then onwards to Melbourne.

Going, we only have a shortish (3 hr) wait between flights arriving at 06.45 and leaving again at 10.10. But coming back it's quite a bit longer we arrive at 05.40 and leave again for Manchester at 14.20 (8hrs 40 mins).

Has anyone got any suggestions for entertaining /relaxing one 34 yr old jetlagged and probably a bit frazzled woman and two kids, one six year old boy and the other 35!! for 8 hours in Dubai , I don't expect we'll be able to leave the airport will we? and don't think we'll be up for sandsurfing at that time of the morning!

Any suggestions welcome

Thanks,

Flossybean

The Irish pub is good you can sit in there and watch the kids play on scateboards or something It's a long concourse so they'll be fine

Flossy the duty free in Dubai is top, there is soft play in the airport for your little one, plenty bars for you and if you are allowed to leave the airport the Burj Al Arab hotel is well worth a look, the only 7 star hotel in the World!! and home to one of Gordon Ramsay's restaurant's, you will not be stuck for something to do!!
