Nappies!
Hi, have an 11 weeks old baby and due to fly to Brisbane in 6 weeks.
I have heard from a friend here that using disposable nappies in Australia is very frowned upon and not the done thing at all!!
Is this true...whilst in Rome and all that...not sure I can cope with all the washing but I guess it will dry a lot quicker than it does here!
Thanks
Bel

Dont' get pampers, only huggies really, Huggies for boys or for girls, don't know about being frowned upon, we where there last March with our 1 year old in nappies and no probs buying them etc.....also have an Oz born N bred friend in Perth with twins and she uses disposables. Hope this helps.........

Hi
I have a 3 month old daughter and I have tried Huggies, Pampers, Coles, Baby Love, Aldi and Targets own brand Dri Bots. The best by far is Dri Bots never had any leakage and they feel really dry against the skin even when really full.

Judging by the piles of nappies in supermarket aisles and virtually every toddler you see wearing disposables I dont really think it is frowned upon here at all! Just dont flush them down the loo (like one new student family to Aus did when we lived in student accommodation)

Re: Nappies!
in my mums' group of 12, all but one person uses disposables.
Most expensive are Huggies- but the supermarkets do tend to have offers. Some Coles have Pampers as a trial.
Best value are Snugglers which are sold in huge boxes in Big W.
We have been through them all.....
