In the name of art?
Quite sometime ago we had some engagement photos taken, they were part of our wedding package. Supposed to be a few lovey dovey ones, looking into each others eyes etc etc.
We went to the photo studio and had some shots taken outside, probably spent no more than 10 mins doing that before the photographer suggested that we go back to the studio and do some nudes.
We were quite into the idea as we fancied having some nice pics of ourselves and aren't too shy about getting our kit off.
We had an absolutely fantastic time doing the shoot, we spent about 2 hours in the studio and got some stunning pictures from it. However we were in a state of shock afterwards and couldn't believe what we had just done as some of the pictures were pretty explicit and personally I would have said they were more pornographic than art.
But I would highly recommend it to anyone as the buzz we got was amazing.
We've now got a few big pictures on our wall that look really awesome; though my wife's dad didn't know quite where to look when he saw his daughter with all her bits out!
So for your viewing pleasure, attached is one of the pictures that we have on our wall. Enjoy!

I have one of MrsB, in that pose, only I am behind the camera!!!
I am going to get an artist to draw it so that we can also have it on the wall.
Not sure if I should post it though!

Where's all the bits sticking out then?
;-)
Your're right it's an excellent thing to do - Mrs B is very proud of her picture and showed all her mates. She can look back on it when she is 70 and say wow look at my figure. Other people can admire a geuine 'nude' that is not one from a gallery. I also got a lot of brownie points because she hadn't realised how toned her back was, how good it looked. She was 'wow'!!! I did take a fantastic one on my mobile which unfortunately I have not been able to reproduce on my camera as well - different light, camera lens etc.

She was on her own, hands in her hair. There was one of us both, but I forgot to hold my stomach in, so we trashed it!!

Diane, the most important thing is soft, but bright light, a good pose, good lens and camera angle. Sunlight is good, from the side - the best light I would say. But not too much. A lot of people take pictures with compact cameras with 35mm lenses which distort and are not flattering - you need a portrait lens like 50mm-70mm maybe more. I've made loads of people look good with a bit of technique. Half of these models you see know how to sit, how to pose, the photographer has positioned the lights just so..I had to take 6 photos before we realised I had the light the wrong side of her. Light is EVERYTHING.
One picture she looked 'ordinary'- we weren't that impressed, the other she looked great.
One picture, Mrs B had to push her chest out, stick her bum out, twist her back, it was 'painful', not a pose she would adopt naturally, and she couldn't hold it for long, but the proof was then in the pudding. She looked great.
So don't worry!

As badge says the wide angle lenses accentuate detail (wrinkles big noses etc) whilst standing back with a slight telephoto lense flattens and flatters. Direct light also casts shadows on those features and makes them look bigger.

You'd need a blackout before you'd get a decent piccie of me with my kit off..
Owieb - are they all as "tasteful" or are there some not so "tasteful" ones if you know what I mean.

Girls, need a photographer; I am the man for the job. ;-)
Can't wait to see what WBB or Jack says now on this thread!

yeah Bp, that's why actors and actresses always look good on the silver screen - the long focal length of the lenses used also compresses perspective which as you say flatters people's faces. Reduces noses etc.

The shoot basically started off with us with our clothes on and we had a couple of pictures done, then the photographer said to take our clothes off, and we did without hesitation.
He just snapped away all the time why we just "got down to it". The thing was we never really knew what picture he was taking or where he was looking and as badge has mentioned the light plays an important part.
We did do some "set" photos posing with different props in the studio and they have come out really good.
The studio was pretty dark so we didn't feel like we were on a XXX movie set and the photographer made us feel so relaxed that we just went with the flow and enjoyed ourselves.
In total he took about 500 pictures and we chose about 40 altogether. Some we blew up into posters (the one posted here is poster size), some we had in normal frames, and the rest went into a book.
I guess it comes down to how confident you are with your body and your sexuality as to how "tasteful" or not you think the pictures are.
Personally I'm really proud of the pictures and really pleased that we didn't hold back!
