Sorry, cant help you.

It might be worth contacting your HR department and asking if they have hired any other nurses from UK, and that if they have, perhaps the dept could pass on your email address. Alternatively, ask them to pass on you email address to other nurses you'll be working with.....maybe a "buddy" system.

There's at least one poster on the forum working at Nambour hospital possibly two. Do a search on this forum or the nursing forum and you'll find them.
It was only brought up a few weeks ago so a recent search should suffice

We won't be working at Nambour Hospital but Justine will be having our third baby there around November....we also live in Coolum Beach and after 6 months I have to say it's just the business...Every day is still like a holiday, mostly because I haven't found a business to ruin the buzz yet, but Coolum is a great spot for families....The schools are good, our 13 year old loves it, the atmosphere is laid back and secure, and the locals are as good as gold..

We spent a long time looking for the house, we rented first and went through 58 houses before finding a wooden shack in a cul-de-sac on the North side of town...the agents must have thought we were wasting thier time but there's so much to learn and the agents don't help the buyers much..anyway, we're in now and it's worth all the dramas to get here... let us know when you arrive and we'll have a natter....In the meantime enjoy the trip and we'll see you in the Sun....

Paul & Justine...
