Default My First Surfing Lesson

Only managed to nearly drown about 5 times.

Good fun though:

Good to see another pommie kook.

You get used to the drowning sensations. I just let my body go limp and wait for the board to stop dragging me. The worst thing then is if another wave hits you straight away keeping you down for another 20 seconds.

Way to go Renth!

Glad you enjoyed it. Look forward to seeing you down there more often.

Excellent. What are the crowds like around Perth. It is the worst thing about Bondi Beach. On some days I am sure there are hundreds out there.

100's !?!

I go down to Trigg where there is normally about 6/7 breaks over about 1km of beach. If there are more than 10 people on a break then it's busy!

Bondi has up to 3 breaks. It gets rediculous at times. I have dropped in totally unintentionally and had the same happen back to me. Fortunatley we are not a gnarly bunch so there is no aggro. It gets very frustrating. Last year when I came back from Noosa I hardly went out because of the crowds and what I was enjoying in QLD.
