Default My first Ozzy tax return

I arrived in Australia last September and still find the tax system here both harsh and very confusing. Can someone on these forums please answer the following question:

I still own a property in the U.K and have been renting it out since last October. Will I be liable for tax on the U.K rental income in this years tax return? I'm aware that Australian residents are liable for tax on all world wide income. Does this start from the minute that you arrive in Australia as a PR?

Any advice from folks in the same situation would be most welcome.
