Must haves in a Southern Queensland home??
We are moving up from Adelaide to the Currumbin area. After looking at rental costs :scared: it looks as if it would be sensible to buy as soon as possible
Aside from the ususl hassles of areas to suit ....what exactly should I be looking for in my Queensland house to make it well.....homely and comfortable??
For example here in Adelaide it's a good idea to have a heating method that will warm the entire house in the Winter and preferably ducted cooling in each room for Summer. Also sun-shades on the exterior of windows and deep eaves to create shade. Is there any advantage to having a house on stilts (to catch the breeze?) and is a fully enclosed garage a no no and a shaded undercroft car-port the norm??
Here we have a 'split level' 1970's home despite being advised to stick with a single storey house I was missing stairs. In Summer the raised lounge room was unbearably hot, even with a split system running.Does the same advice apply with you guys up there?
Any views greatfully recieved
