I live in Moggill which isn't too far from there and its lovely here, quiet, nice neighbours and a small plaza with the basic amenities. We considered moving to Karana Downs but found the house we are in first. You can get value for money with houses there and the houses in Moggill and Bellbowrie are reasonably priced too. Hope this helps.

I live in Moggill also. Mt Crosby's very rural, houses are generally on big plots which are mostly sloped and you get a lot for your money, but there's no other facilities, apart from a school (up to grade 7) and it a fair distance from Brisbane and Ipswich. Karana Downs is a more typical suburban estate, reasonably sized plots, slightly older houses than Mt Crosby with half decent local facilities. Both are in the catchment area for Kenmore State High School (grade 8-12) which has a very good reputation. So all in all very good, safe, family friendly areas with reasonably priced housing and decent schools for kids, but a bit further out than most and a fair distance from the bay / beach.
