I just heard that the points for independent skilled migration have increased from 110 to 115. I am *hoping* I can still make it!
I have 60 pts for skill, 30 for age and 20 for english language ability.
I am awaiting my response from the ACS but I have applied for MODL (I have been working in IT for th epast 2.5 years).
My question is, if the ACS approve me and give me my MODL, does this automayically mean that I will get the 5 extra points for Occupation in Demand?

Hi Strewth,

Yes, you either need another .5 years work experience to get the 10 points for that,
or the MODL listing. Obviously if you don't need the MODL listing the easiest thing
to do is wait another six months before applying, subject to whatever other points
you may be able to claim.
