Moving within Australia

Hi folks,

We are currently in Adelaide, but have an opportunity to move to Melbourne in the new year. We've had one removals company come round and give us a quote, which we've received and it appears Jan/Feb is the most expensive time of the year to move. Like we did in the UK we will get a number of quotes, but wondered if there were any recommendations?

It's nearly just as much to move to Melbourne as it was UK to OZ...

Many thanks in advance!

Just do what we did, rent a big van and do it yourself

Good fun driving a big van, although the last time I did it we really loaded up the van and it felt like it was going to tip over going around a corner

Bloody hard work mind.

From what I've heard, you are lucky that the quote was less than moving from the U.K.
