Moving from UK to AUS and need help
Hi,
My husband has a friend over in Australia perth/fremantle and he has asked if we want to go over and he will work for the company his friend works for as they need joiners/carpenters. We have looked into what visas you need but im really confused and need help. There will be my husband, me and two children aged 3 and 8. I am a healthcare assistant in the hospital at the moment but i do want to go into my nursing before we move over there or can you go over there as a healthcare assistant then do nursing over there. Need a bit more advice. Any help would be great thank you!! |

That sounds a bit nebulous to me. If a company cannot find local tradesmen then they may be able to offer you sponsorship but that is a temporary visa and you may find that you are on your way home if the work dries up or he falls out with the bosses. Have a look to see if he can get a permanent visa in his own right and you and the family can go along as his dependents.
If you want to train to be a nurse on a temporary visa then you will be paying eyewateringly large international student fees. If you are a permanent resident they will be less but you will still have to pay tuition fees up front. Perhaps talk to a MARA registered agent to get a feel for what you might be able to access and what sort of time frame you might be talking about. Nothing is going to happen quickly |

That is what he is looking at a independent visa but there are so many and i dont understand which one he will need. So it will be best for me to qualify before moving over there. We are speaking to a lot of people at the moment about it and it all seems a lot of hard work. I think your right we need to speak to a professional about it and see what the options are from them. Thank you for your comment

Nursing requires a degree to practice here - so how many years will you have to do to qualify then how many years experience once qualified? If your DH can get a visa based on his skills that would be the way to go. It rather depends on whether he can garner enough points to get a visa to allow entry into WA if that is where the purported jobs may be - remember it's a competitive process these days.
