moving to the sunshine coast

moving to the sunshine coast
Well after 1 month in Aus. the sunshine coast is looming as our destination to settle. With a young family and a wife who is 7 months pregnant we have toyed with the idea of giving up our dream and returning to England.
I now have a job lined up but my wife is feeling low, she has left family and friends, at a time when she could do with all the comforts of home.
So I am appealing to any expats living in the sunshine coast, who might feel they could offer my lovely wife the kind of friendship and support that she will miss, so please get in touch and help her settle into our new life in Aus.

In my opinion I bet the pregnacy isnt helping. Seems strange that you could make the move with a pregnant application member. But hey, thats my opinion.

As your post was ultra negative and with the pregnancy issue also. It just sound a bit trolly.
I really didnt think people emigrated when 6 months pregnant. I have heard of numerous people on here who have applied, got pregnant and then postponed their app by nine months before moving. Im also sceptical that an airline would allow a six month pregnant passenger fly for 23+ hours.
Im not saying you are a troll, but most people introduce themselves on the first post, you simply came in with major problems and brought them straight to the front.
If your not a troll then sorry and good luck, and if you are a troll then .....

Hopefully someone on the sunshine coast will be kind enough to offer a helping hand & some friendship when they move up there.

Good luck to them up the Sunshine Coast meelie, hope they find some nice people which might make it easier for them to settle.
(just re-read that, didn't mean it to sound like you arent nice people too )

it wasnt an accusation, it was MY thought at the time. the original poster didnt reply back immediately, and as the previous reply had stated there were a few 'things' that may have pointed to a troll.
apologies if he isnt, but at the end of the day, we all dont know ALL the facts about each other on this forum, so can only assume from what you read, and from their previous posts (whereas your friend didnt have any!!).

Hi I moved to Oz when I was 5 and a half months pregnant, so I know how your wife feels. It makes the move somewhat more stressful. I am not on the Sunshine Coast, but if your wife wants to pm me for any advice on doctors here etc, or just for a chat, that would be fine.
Good luck

There's a few people living on the sunshine coast that we socialise with, quite a few are Poms, Scots and Welsh. Drop us a PM and I'll try and introduce you to some of the ones who don't post very often or who don't use the forum at all.
There was supposed to be a meet-up of posters in the area though I'm not sure if it happened
Good luck with it all.
