Default Moving To Perth

I am a US citizen.I am currently working on a permenant job in US in Dallas, Texas (on an USD$85K per year). I have been offered a contract job in
Perth Australia for AUD$450 per day.The employer will do the visa etc. AUD$450 will be including super. Its very hard to decide as I don't know much about Perth Australia. Please help me to compare Perth Australia with Dallas TX in terms of costs, salary, saving, housing etc.?

Check real estate costs in Perth.

You will probably be on a temporary visa with few rights in Australia, is that a problem, if you have to go home at short notice?

If (or when) you have to go home, who pays for your repatriation?

Perhaps visit before making such a life-changing decision. Why not keep your current job, or move within the USA? What do you have to gain by going to Australia?
