The way I did it for mother was to phone them up and ask them if they could put a note on their system (with an explanation that they were old, first time, and wanted the only-two seats together that were on the top deck).

Seemed to work OK.

don't you prebook yr seats before checking in? that's what the majority of people do hence you are left with only the seats by the loos.

No, I wait until check in opens and then choose seats - I must have missed something big - how do I pre-book?, I've got my ticket at Flight Centre....

Upstairs economy is becoming a thing of the past with Singapore Airlines on the LON - SIN route: http://www.ausbt.com.au/singapore-ai...ass-upper-deck

Call the airline once you have yr booking/ticket and they will locate you in their data and then you can choose yr seat accordingly or else yr travel agent shld be doing this for you too.

By the way there is a big demand for au pairs in Australia as they work out cheaper than childcare. There was an article in today's The Age about the shortage of au pairs to meet the demands of Australian parents with children

I read that you cannot pre book your seats unless you pay for preferred seating or you book directly with Singapore.

Ok, I have always booked directly with Singapore Airlines but with most other airlines, your agent can prebook your seats when he/she is making yr booking for you

I got it through a website on the net, my friends went to NZ by becoming an au pair and said it was amazing, so I thought I would try it too. I want to train as a teacher when I come back to England. I can only stay in Oz for 12 months on a working holiday visa and can work for 6 months for the same employer.

Crosby's lovely, we'll be in Waterloo when we move back.

You're going to have such an adventure, good for you!

I believe they can only do the typical aisle/window selection unless something has changed.

The best way to guarantee a seat, and a good one at that, is to pay for an exit row seat. It also costs peanuts and is well worth the extra leg room.

We're booked with Singapore Airlines to London in June and I reserved our upstairs seats months ago. We didn't book direct with SA.

Just go to https://www.singaporeair.com/manageB...execution=e3s1. You'll need your Booking Reference number and from there you can choose the exact seat you want.

The upper seats go first, of course. If you don't get an option to choose upper deck seats, it means they've all gone..

I have just tried to pick my seats, but it is saying my ticket number doesn't exist.... is it because I booked through Netflights?
