Default Moving over

I'm currently serving my time doing engineering in Liverpool, UK.

However, it's up in 2 year's time and want to get out to Brisbane for a year to live and work with a partner.

I've been told that I'd easily get a job as a welder, engineer, all work's on (that's what I'm working as now)

and my partner will be qualified midwife, which is also helpful.

I dont understand the full rules and what to follow yet but was wandering what would be best, either to rent a house or an apartment? and is Wynnum a nice suburb to get settled in for a couple aged 20?

Anyone give me advice please?

Thanks

Jack.

I think you need to look at visas. From the sounds of it, your partner might be able to make the application for both of you under the general skilled migration programme. Have a look at Booklet 6 to get a better idea of what work experience and qualifications would be required to qualify for a visa: http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/booklets/booklets.htm

As you're young you might want to look into a Working Holiday visa (a short term temporary visa) too.

I'm not too sure. I'm still in the UK, and when we were in Brissie, we were looking mostly at Northside areas to buy, not Bayside.

Someone else may be able to help though.
